ForgeTax Guides: How to Play, Forging & Damage Builds

ForgeTax
Know when to take another strike.

ForgeTax is a sword-forging game about relic combinations and paying tribute to a dragon. Turn a limited supply of swords into enough value to survive, while deciding which blade to upgrade, spend or keep.

What is ForgeTax?

The name joins forge with tax: you forge swords to meet the dragon’s demands. Chinese players may call it 铸剑纳贡. Damage here means a forging outcome that usually lowers a sword’s grade; it does not mean combat damage.

Start with the decision in front of you

Secure the tribute before chasing growth

Suppose today asks for 1,800 G and your planned offering is worth 2,000 G, including a 1,200 G sword. Breaking that blade leaves only 800 G. Set aside enough tribute and experiment with spare swords, rather than putting the entire payment at risk. This is an inventory example, not a guaranteed winning route.

Getting started

Four changes to check in an older guide

  • New runs offer a free choice of one of three starter relics. Existing runs do not receive it retroactively.
  • The Great sword-value multiplier changed from 3× to 2.5×.
  • The base day-21 tribute changed from 145,000 G to 232,000 G.
  • Damage-triggered effects can work at +0 or when the grade loss is prevented. Individual relic conditions still apply.
